Piero Portaluppi
Architect Piero Portaluppi transformed the city of Milan, building more than 100 buildings within its borders between 1910 and the 1960s. Luxury villas, offices, hotels, museums, a planetarium—all bore his distinctive touch: sometimes restrained and elegant, sometimes dynamic and playful.

Michael Heizer, City (1972-2022). A monumental sculpture in the Nevada desert is a vast complex of shaped mounds and depressions made of compacted dirt, rock and concrete. City is a life’s work; an unwavering commitment to a vision. Photography by Jamie Hawkesworth.
Fontana
Inspired By Italian photographer Franco Fontana. He is a pioneer of color photography, known for his abstract cityscapes, seascapes, and landscapes. Fontana embraced color film as early as the 1960s at a time when few fine art photographers ventured outside the conventions of black-and-white photography. - words by Artsy
